Delete your data

You can ask us to delete your Dawdle account and everything saved with it at any time. Here is how.

How to ask

  1. Email contact@dawdle.co with the subject Data deletion request.
  2. Send it from the email address you use to sign in to Dawdle, so we know the account is yours. If you can't, tell us that address and we will confirm it with you first.
  3. If you used Dawdle without an account, include the link to your chat (the address in your browser while you were planning) so we can find it.
Email a deletion request

What we delete

  • Your account: name, email address, sign-in details and profile.
  • Your trip chats, itineraries and saved places.
  • Records of your visits linked to your account.
  • Messages you sent us through the contact or partner forms, if you ask.

We may keep a short note that we received and completed your request, and anything the law requires us to keep. Counts that contain nothing about you (for example, how many trips were planned in a month) are not personal data and stay.

How long it takes

We reply within a few days and complete the deletion within 30 days of confirming the request. We email you when it is done. Deletion can't be undone.

Data in your browser

Some things, such as a chat started before signing in and your saved stories, are kept only in your own browser. You can remove them yourself by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

Facebook and Instagram

Dawdle's Facebook app is used only by our team to publish to and read statistics for Dawdle's own Facebook Page and Instagram account. You can't sign in to Dawdle with Facebook, and we don't collect information from your Facebook or Instagram account. If you think we hold any of your data through Facebook or Instagram, email us as above and we will delete it.
