We Built Dawdle Because Meaningful Travel Shouldn't Be This Hard to Plan
Dawdle exists for travellers who want to go deeper — into communities, landscapes, and local stories — without spending weeks planning how to get there.
Our Journey
Eco-adventures designed for travelers who value depth over distance.

Dawdle was built by social-impact-driven entrepreneurs who kept running into the same problem: planning meaningful, slow travel in Canada was far harder than it should be.
Mainstream platforms optimize for speed and scale. General AI tools give you text, not trips. Neither reflects the reality of travelling by train through New Brunswick or spending a week on the Sunshine Coast without a rental car.
So we built Dawdle — an AI travel planner that starts with how you like to travel, not where the algorithm wants to send you. Canada first. Community rooted. Designed for the journey, not just the destination.

What We Support
Pace over Proximity
Most travel tools optimize for how many places you can fit in. Dawdle does the opposite. We build itineraries around stillness — giving you enough time in each place to actually feel it, not just photograph it.
Context over Content
A waterfall is just water without its story. Dawdle grounds every recommendation in local history, Indigenous knowledge, and community context — so you arrive somewhere understanding why it matters.
Integrity over Influence
We don't recommend partners because they pay us more. We recommend them because they're rooted in their communities, operate with care, and make your journey better. Alignment over commission.
Why We Exist
We exist for the independent traveler who seeks to be tethered to the world in a meaningful way. We're here to help you find your own rhythm—to respect the stories of the places you visit, and to rediscover the simple, profound joy of truly being somewhere.
